Sudoku Widget
Google allows you to customise a home page, so that they can be your one-stop shop: From the one page you can do searches, read headlines, check the weather, etc.AITC are making available a widget you can add to your Google home page that will allow you to solve Sudokus as well!
As a first step, you will need a Google homepage set up - you can do this easily enough using the "Personalized Home" link at the top right corner of the screen.
Once you are in your Google Home Page, choose "Add Content" from the top left. Then, under "Create a Section", type in "developer.xml" and click Go.
This will give you a new pane on you screen where you can add modules from all over the Net. In its "Add a module" field, copy in the following URL, and click Add:

And thats it! To use it, type in the numbers you already know, and click "Solve Grid" to see the solution.
Known Issues
This is a basic version with a few wrinkles - a more fully-featured Sudoku widget is in the works (see below!) - we just wanted to give you something to play with in the meantime! The install routine is a little complex - we haven't yet registered our widget with Google. Once that is done, the process will be a lot simpler.
Currently, if you enter in an "impossible Sudoku" (say, with two ones right next to each other), the Solver may fail to find a result.
Also, the user interface is a little klunky in this release.
